The opportunity

Job Description

AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our opioid use disorder (OUD) and behavioral health clinic in Jackson, Tennessee. This is a contract position offering hybrid flexible hours, Monday through Friday.

You will provide comprehensive psychiatric care and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals navigating recovery and mental health disorders. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will have clinical autonomy to manage patient recovery pathways while collaborating with clinic leadership to decrease barriers to care and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and history of present illness (HPI) assessments
  • Design personalized treatment plans for patients in recovery and those with mental health disorders
  • Document and track patient milestones, adjusting care plans in collaboration with clinical leadership and clinic directors
  • Counsel patients on their treatment journey and provide health education regarding medication management and compliance
  • Address the physical, emotional, and mental health aspects of substance use and behavioral health disorders to support long-term stability and improved quality of life

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of MAT or Addiction Medicine treatment experience
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee
  • Active Board Certification from ANCC or AANP
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
  • Ability to interact compassionately and effectively with a diverse patient population
