Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine

Join CHRISTUS St. Vincent's Adult & Family Care Clinic in Santa Fe as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant providing comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting. You will conduct patient assessments, establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and promote preventive health and wellness.

Clinical Setting

This is an outpatient-only practice within a 200-bed not-for-profit integrated health system serving Northern New Mexico. CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a Level III Trauma Center and member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, providing care across a hospital and regional outpatient clinics with 39 major medical specialties and service lines.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling options are available:

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, or
• Four 10-hour shifts per week

Family medicine call rotation is limited to telephone coverage only. Average patient volume is approximately 16-18 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications as appropriate
• Promote preventive health and wellness
• Participate in family medicine telephone call rotation
• Collaborate with a supportive clinical team

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligible New Mexico NP or PA license
• National certification
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of primary care experience
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
