Join our outpatient interventional pain management practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This office-based role focuses on scheduled outpatient visits, patient education, and collaborative care for patients living with chronic pain. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some travel between clinic sites. No prior pain management experience is required—we provide comprehensive training and ongoing support.
Clinical Setting
This is an outpatient, office-based practice specializing in pain management. You will conduct pain-focused patient visits in a collaborative environment with supervising physicians and clinical staff available daily for consultation and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pain-focused histories and physical examinations
- Manage acute and chronic pain conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Develop and follow treatment plans for outpatient visits
- Provide pre- and post-procedure follow-up care
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps
- Prescribe medications per state and practice guidelines
- Document visits clearly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate daily with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff
Training and Support
Approximately two weeks of hands-on initial training is provided, including side-by-side instruction in pain-focused assessments, patient communication and education, and treatment planning. Permanent supervising physician support is available to answer questions, review treatment plans, and provide guidance on complex cases.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-Certified
- National certification
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekday outpatient schedule only
