Sanitas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient primary health care services at our Medical Centers. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care while maintaining our commitment to compassion, respect, and kindness.

Clinical Setting

You will practice in an outpatient primary care environment within a global healthcare organization that offers primary care, urgent care, nutrition, lab, diagnostic services, and health care education. You will report directly to the Medical Director regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform physical examinations
  • Diagnose conditions and direct patient counseling on treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines
  • Maintain problem-oriented health records in compliance with Center policies and Health Information Management procedures
  • Provide comprehensive medical services on a timely basis within the Center's scope of practice and your training
  • Deliver excellent customer service via telephone, videoconference, chat, or face-to-face contact
  • Perform minor surgical procedures
  • Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered at the Medical Center
  • Review incoming reports such as lab results, x-rays, and EKGs; sign, date, and follow up in a timely manner
  • Follow established departmental and medical center policies, procedures, and quality improvement objectives
  • Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs as needed
  • Attend and participate in medical center and departmental meetings as required
  • Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice
  • Assist in outside medical public relations functions
  • Train, mentor, and supervise students and clinical support staff as appropriate
  • Supervise mid-level practitioners including physician assistants and nurse practitioners
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nursing Program
  • 3 or more years of experience in Primary Care
  • Valid State Nurse Practitioner License
  • Current State DEA Certificate
  • Certification by ANCC or AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Gerontology NP
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Advanced English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience working with a multicultural patient population delivering patient-centric programs that are high quality and cost effective
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Creole language proficiency

Travel Requirements

You must be flexible to travel per business needs. You may be required to travel to multiple locations for work, including meetings, events, and conferences.

Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment or supplies (up to 50 pounds), and manual dexterity. You must comply with infection control and safety protocols.
