We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II to lead clinical operations, patient care delivery, staff performance, and administrative functions within a 24/7 acute care hospital Main Operating Room in San Francisco, California.
Clinical Setting
This is a full-time, onsite position in a Main Operating Room within an acute care hospital. The role requires 24/7 operational leadership and oversight of a complex surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams
- Oversee OR patient care delivery, staffing, workflows, and resource utilization
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Nursing Practice Act, and state and federal regulations
- Manage departmental budgets and operational performance
- Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and process improvement initiatives
- Drive staff development, training, performance management, and succession planning
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Support strategic planning, emergency preparedness, and operational projects
- Use data and performance metrics to improve clinical and operational outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active California RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 5 years of Main OR experience in an acute care hospital
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations or clinical experience
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
- Hospital or healthcare system experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
- Operating Room or procedural specialty experience
- Experience with change management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $235,000
- Annual bonus up to 15% of base salary
