Nurse Manager Operating Room

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II to lead clinical operations, patient care delivery, staff performance, and administrative functions within a 24/7 acute care hospital Main Operating Room in San Francisco, California.

Clinical Setting

This is a full-time, onsite position in a Main Operating Room within an acute care hospital. The role requires 24/7 operational leadership and oversight of a complex surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams
• Oversee OR patient care delivery, staffing, workflows, and resource utilization
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Nursing Practice Act, and state and federal regulations
• Manage departmental budgets and operational performance
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and process improvement initiatives
• Drive staff development, training, performance management, and succession planning
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Support strategic planning, emergency preparedness, and operational projects
• Use data and performance metrics to improve clinical and operational outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Active California RN License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 5 years of Main OR experience in an acute care hospital
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations or clinical experience
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
• Hospital or healthcare system experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
• Operating Room or procedural specialty experience
• Experience with change management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $235,000
• Annual bonus up to 15% of base salary
