Nurse Manager, Main Operating Room, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Main Operating Room at Baptist Downtown Jacksonville. This is a 24/7 operational and clinical leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a busy surgical services environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for the Main Operating Room
• Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
• Build, mentor, and develop a highly engaged nursing team focused on clinical excellence
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate nursing staff while promoting professional growth and continuing education
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational and patient care goals
• Monitor quality metrics and implement data-driven performance improvement initiatives
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental fiscal performance
• Address patient and family concerns in a timely and effective manner while supporting efforts to improve patient satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and standards established by accrediting organizations, including The Joint Commission and CMS
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and financial management skills

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Surgical Services nursing leadership experience
