The opportunity

Job Description

Broward Health North is seeking a Nurse Extern to provide basic nursing skills and care within a patient and family-centered care model. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with personal care, phlebotomy, EKG, and other fundamental nursing tasks to support quality patient outcomes in a trauma and telemetry pool setting.

Days shift
Pool position (Trauma/Tele)

Responsibilities

Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
Perform phlebotomy
Perform EKG
Provide basic nursing skills and support
Facilitate quality service outcomes within a patient and family-centered care model

Required Qualifications

Enrollment in a BSN program with completion of at least the third year, OR enrollment in an Associate Nursing program with completion of at least one year of the nursing curriculum
BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

One year of clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting
