Job Description

This per diem position offers senior nursing students an opportunity to gain expanded clinical experience in a telemetry setting while supporting the Registered Nursing staff. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for medical-surgical patients in advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Responsibilities

Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation
Perform patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members

Preceptorship

Level II Nurse Extern role includes 1:1 preceptorship with a Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program
Successfully entered senior year in an accredited school of nursing
Must pass all senior courses to remain in the program
AHA BLS certification
