Nurse Extern - Telemetry

This per diem position offers senior nursing students an opportunity to gain expanded clinical experience in a telemetry setting while supporting the Registered Nursing staff. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for medical-surgical patients in advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation
• Perform patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members

Preceptorship

• Level II Nurse Extern role includes 1:1 preceptorship with a Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program
• Successfully entered senior year in an accredited school of nursing
• Must pass all senior courses to remain in the program
• AHA BLS certification
