Job Description

This position offers PRN (as-needed) work as a Nurse Extern on the Surgical Progressive Care Unit at McLeod Health. You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing essential patient care duties and support to the surgical progressive care team.

Responsibilities

Obtain and record patient vital signs
Assist with patient bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming based on individual patient needs
Transport patients as needed
Conduct hourly rounds to monitor patient well-being
Create a comforting and secure environment for patients and visitors

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals course
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Schedule

PRN (as needed); scheduled shifts
Not benefit eligible
