Clinical Setting
Reston Hospital Center is a 230+ bed acute care facility in Northern Virginia, part of HCA Healthcare. The hospital specializes in maternal/child health, surgical services, urological services, cancer care, and is a certified Stroke Center and Total Joint Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential care for patients by helping with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort and hygiene
- Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as you gain experience and grow in your competency
- Document care accurately and communicate timely updates with the nursing team to keep patient care seamless and coordinated
- Help patients and families understand their care plans and offer guidance for their health and recovery
- Keep patient areas clean and safe by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and maintaining an organized environment
- Engage in learning opportunities, share ideas to improve care, and partner with your supervisor or preceptor to build your personal career development plan
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an RN Program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Compensation
Hourly wage estimate: $19.29 - $26.04 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Factors that may determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
