Nurse Extern PRN Float Pool

Join HCA HealthONE Swedish as a Nurse Extern PRN Float Pool member and gain hands-on experience exploring the full scope of the Registered Nurse role. You'll deliver safe, compassionate care to patients while building the clinical skills and confidence needed to progress through your nursing program.

Clinical Setting

HCA HealthONE Swedish is a 408-bed acute care hospital and a national leader in neurosciences, stroke treatment, robotics, burn and reconstructive care, and oncology services. As a float pool position, you may work across multiple units and departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital sign monitoring, mobility support, and comfort and hygiene measures
• Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other basic procedures as you gain experience and competency
• Document care accurately and communicate timely updates with the nursing team to ensure seamless, coordinated patient care
• Help patients and families understand their care plans and provide guidance for health and recovery
• Maintain clean and safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and organizing the environment
• Engage in learning opportunities, share ideas to improve care, and work with your supervisor or preceptor to develop your personal career development plan

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No prior nursing experience required

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) position
• No travel required

Compensation

• Hourly wage: $22.05 - $29.78 per hour
• Actual salary may vary based on specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role
