Nurse Extern PRN Float Pool

Join HCA HealthONE Aurora as a Nurse Extern PRN Float Pool member and gain hands-on experience exploring the full scope of the Registered Nurse role. You'll deliver safe, compassionate care to patients while building the clinical skills and confidence needed to progress through your nursing program.

Clinical Setting

HCA HealthONE Aurora is a comprehensive acute care hospital in the Denver metro area offering more than 60 medical specialties, including a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation. The facility has received a three-time Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort and hygiene
• Perform nursing tasks including wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other basic procedures as you gain experience and competency
• Document care accurately and communicate timely updates with the nursing team to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care
• Help patients and families understand their care plans and offer guidance for health and recovery
• Maintain clean and safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and maintaining an organized environment
• Engage in learning opportunities, share ideas to improve care, and partner with your supervisor or preceptor to build your personal career development plan

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• One year of experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule

• PRN (as needed) position
• No travel required

Compensation

Hourly wage estimate: $22.05 - $29.78 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Factors that may determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
