Nurse Extern- Medical Surgical

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide essential patient care, assist in planning and implementing care plans, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment. Clinical Setting

You will work at the Henry Ford Health Warren Campus, located in Macomb County. The campus is centrally positioned along the Van Dyke corridor with convenient access to Detroit and I-696, serving a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in providing patient care to meet safety and comfort needs
• Provide input to help plan and implement patient care
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures
• Participate in continuing education to enhance your nursing skills

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent OR currently enrolled in the Henry Ford Health Early College Program with completion of two clinical rotations
• Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with completion of two clinical rotations, including one in medical-surgical (acute care setting)
• Current Health Care Provider Certification

Schedule

• Midnight shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
