Nurse Extern L&D

Join Lovelace Women's Hospital as a Nurse Extern in Labor & Delivery, working variable shifts on a PRN basis in Albuquerque, NM. This position offers hands-on clinical experience in a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit and family care unit at a facility recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures as authorized under the direction of an RN and/or Nurse Manager
• Perform basic nursing assistant responsibilities
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with anticipated completion within 12 months from the date of hire
• One year of previous job-related experience
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nursing assistant course
