Job Description
Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a Nurse Extern for the Labor & Delivery unit on a PRN, day shift basis. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients across the lifecycle in this clinical setting. Your responsibilities will include utilizing treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to a pre-licensure nurse in accordance with hospital policy.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program
- Successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification
- Basic ECG Certification
No prior nursing experience is required for this position.
