Job Description
Broward Health North is seeking a Nurse Extern for the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit on a pool, day shift basis. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide basic nursing skills and care within a patient and family-centered care model.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care
- Perform phlebotomy
- Perform EKG
- Provide basic nursing skills to facilitate quality service outcomes
Education Requirements
- Enrollment in a BSN program with completion of at least the third year, OR
- Enrollment in an Associate Nursing program with completion of at least one year of the nursing curriculum
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting
