Nurse Extern II - Telemetry

This Nurse Extern II position is designed for senior nursing students in their final semester of an accredited Massachusetts nursing program. You will work on the Telemetry unit at MetroWest Medical Center, collaborating with a dedicated unit preceptor to complete your final clinical experience before graduation in May 2027.

Clinical Setting

You will provide care for medical-surgical patients in advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation
• Perform patient care activities under the supervision of Registered Nursing staff
• Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the final semester of a Massachusetts-accredited nursing program
• CPR certification
• Eligible to graduate in May 2027

Candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening, which includes a drug screen.
