Nurse Extern II - Recovery

This is a developmental program for nursing students pursuing an RN degree who want to gain expanded clinical experience across multiple nursing specialties. As a Nurse Extern II in the Recovery setting, you will work under the guidance of Registered Nurses to develop varied clinical skills while assisting with direct patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation
• Perform patient care activities under RN supervision
• Report significant observations to Registered Nurses
• Engage in guided training and development aligned with your State Board of Nursing scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program
• Completion of first clinical rotation
• AHA BLS certification

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with federal, state, and local vaccination requirements. If vaccination is mandated under applicable law, you must provide proof of full vaccination or obtain approval for a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. Approved exemptions require regular testing in accordance with the law.
