Nurse Extern II - PCU

The Nurse Extern II position is a department-specific externship designed for nursing students in their graduating year who seek focused, hands-on experience within a particular unit. This role provides consistent exposure within one specialty area and supports advanced skill development prior to graduation.

As a Nurse Extern II, you will provide patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities include participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, and communicating significant observations to the RN within established scope and guidelines.

• Per Diem
• Rotating shifts

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited RN nursing program
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course
• Completion of the first round of clinical rotations in full
• Must be within the final one to two academic terms of the nursing program (graduating year)
• AHA BLS certification
