Nurse Extern II - ER

Join MetroWest Medical Center as a Nurse Extern II in our Emergency Department. This role provides expanded clinical experience for senior professional RN nursing students in a patient care support capacity. You will work alongside our Registered Nursing staff in our advanced facilities, which include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit, providing essential assistance and comfort to patients during their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide expanded clinical experience as a senior professional RN nursing student
• Assist Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities
• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation
• Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide care for medical-surgical patients
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited RN program
• Currently actively taking steps to obtain RN license
• CPR certification
