Nurse Extern I

St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Illinois is seeking Nurse Externs to gain hands-on clinical experience while enrolled in nursing school. This position offers the opportunity to care for patients of all ages across various hospital units, enhance clinical skills, collaborate with healthcare teams, and prepare for a future nursing career. You will provide support to the nursing team while working in a hospital setting.

Clinical Setting

• Various units throughout St. Francis Hospital
• Hospital-based acute care environment
• Work with patients of all ages

Schedule and Shifts

• PRN, part-time, or full-time positions available
• Days, nights, or rotating shifts

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN, BSN, or MSN nursing program, or graduated with an ADN or BSN within the previous 1 year
• Successfully completed at least one clinical rotation
• Successfully completed at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, either now or in the future

Compensation

• Pay range: $18.00 - $25.20 per hour
• Actual pay rate based on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education
