Nurse Extern (Float Pool)- Per Diem Days

Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Extern for a per diem, day shift position in our float pool. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments throughout our 235-bed acute care facility located in Wellington, Florida. As a Nurse Extern, you will gain valuable experiential learning by practicing skills learned in your academic nursing program under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. There is flexibility to work overtime and cover various shifts if interested.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Nurse Extern, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to:

• Practice clinical skills learned in your professional nursing education program
• Gain experiential learning opportunities across various hospital departments
• Provide support to the nursing team in patient care activities
• Develop professional competencies in a supportive clinical environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and demonstrate working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication skills to relate effectively to staff and patients
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Enrollment in a professional nursing education program for at least one year
• Letter of recommendation from a faculty member of your nursing school

• Per diem day shift position
• Float pool assignment with opportunity to work in multiple departments
• Flexibility to work overtime and cover various shifts if interested
