As a Nurse Extern in the Emergency Room, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care according to your skills and training, while helping maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a hospital emergency department as part of a collaborative nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses in providing patient care in accordance with your skills, training, and departmental needs
- Perform basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living
- Assist the patient care team in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment
- Perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited Tier 1 school of nursing
- Minimum 1+ years of nursing school completed
- Current BLS certification

- Hourly wage estimate: $23.03 - $34.52 per hour
