The opportunity

Job Description

This is a Nurse Extern position in Medical Surgical nursing, working on a PRN (as-needed) basis with weekend-only availability. You will work 7am-7pm shifts on Saturdays and Sundays under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patient vital signs
  • Assist with patient bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming
  • Transport patients as needed
  • Conduct hourly rounds to ensure patient well-being
  • Create a comforting and secure environment for patients and visitors
  • Perform direct patient care duties based on patient population needs

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals course
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
