Nurse Extern Cardiac Medical ICU PRN

Clinical Setting

You will work in the Cardiac Medical ICU at HCA HealthONE Swedish, a 408-bed acute care hospital and national leader in neurosciences located in the Denver metro area. The hospital is part of HCA HealthONE, one of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems in the Rocky Mountain region.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital sign monitoring, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient comfort and hygiene
• Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other basic procedures as you gain experience and develop competency
• Document care accurately and communicate timely updates with the nursing team to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care
• Help patients and families understand their care plans and provide guidance for health and recovery
• Maintain clean and safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and organizing the environment
• Engage in learning opportunities, share ideas to improve care, and work with your supervisor or preceptor to develop your personal career development plan

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No prior nursing experience required

Schedule

• PRN (as needed) position
• No travel required

Compensation

Hourly wage estimate: $22.05 - $29.78 per hour. The estimate represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Actual salary may vary based on specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. Typical candidates are hired below the midpoint of the range.
