Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide professional, skilled, age-specific care for patients in a behavioral health setting. You will work collaboratively with other disciplines to deliver patient care services across the pediatric through geriatric patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Deliver age-specific care appropriate to patient population
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Perform patient care-related services
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a board-approved or accredited nursing program recognized by U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing and within 12 months of program completion, OR a graduate from a board-approved or accredited nursing program waiting to take the NCLEX
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people
- Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
- Basic computer word processing skills (formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches) to navigate an electronic medical record
Required Training
- Successful completion of approved Valleywise Health clinical orientation and computer classes
- Successful completion of CPI training upon hire for behavioral health positions
Schedule
- Regular part-time, 24 hours per week
- Varied schedule
