North Carolina | Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Affect Therapeutics is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver evidence-based telehealth treatment for stimulant use disorder and alcohol use disorder. This is a fully remote position where you will lead member care, supported by a team of counselors and case managers, using a smartphone app combined with clinical care to provide real-time, data-driven treatment.

Clinical Setting

This role is 100% virtual. You will conduct telehealth evaluations and ongoing care from a private, quiet home office with reliable internet that meets HIPAA compliance requirements. Affect Therapeutics does not prescribe controlled substances; medication decisions are made at the provider's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth evaluations after members complete biopsychosocial intakes
• Monitor member progress through monthly appointments
• Prescribe medications as needed and answer member questions
• Complete clinical notes in the EHR system (Healthie) and follow established clinical protocols
• Work collaboratively with a supportive team of counselors and case managers
• Attend occasional meetings with internal teams (scheduled in advance)

Required Qualifications

• Full-practice, licensed PMHNP with an active, unrestricted license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in addiction treatment
• Active DEA registration with demonstrated experience prescribing Suboxone
• Comfort with technology, including EHRs and mobile applications
• Private, quiet home office with reliable internet for HIPAA-compliant telehealth

Preferred Qualifications

• Medicaid enrollment
• Experience with multi-state licensure (Affect covers licensure costs for additional states)
