The opportunity

Job Description

Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for the Satellite department. The Satellite department consists of 4 Med/Surg and Medical Telemetry units with a total of 34 beds dedicated to delivering safe, quality care while optimizing patient flow and alleviating pressure on the Emergency Department.

You will care for a diverse patient population experiencing a wide array of acute diagnoses, including chest pain, pneumonia, electrolyte imbalances, diabetes, cellulitis, trauma injuries, and mental health instabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making
  • Use skilled communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment
  • Contribute to the best patient experience across the continuum of care

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
