The opportunity

Job Description

Join Levine Children's Hospital's Operating Room as a New Graduate Registered Nurse supporting general surgery and multiple surgical specialties. You will provide comprehensive patient care to pediatric patients undergoing procedures ranging from routine surgeries to complex trauma and transplants. This role offers exposure across general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, dental/oral surgery, and robotic-assisted procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
  • Communicate effectively and lead efforts to optimize patient experience

Clinical Setting

Levine Children's Hospital is part of Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Atrium Health in the Southeastern United States. The facility is Magnet-designated, serves as a Level 1 Trauma center, and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. The hospital serves as one of North Carolina's five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (visa sponsorship is not available)

Schedule

  • Three 12-hour day shifts per week
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Weekend rotation required
