New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Morehead Radiation Oncology

Join Levine Cancer Institute's GU/Medical Oncology team as a Registered Nurse in an adult outpatient practice specializing in genitourinary and neurological cancers. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to begin their nursing career in a comprehensive cancer care setting with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, nurse navigators, social workers, care coordinators, dietitians, and pharmacists.

Clinical Setting

Levine Cancer Institute – GU/Medical Oncology is part of Atrium Health Greater Charlotte's extensive ambulatory nursing network spanning 14 counties with over 600 care locations. The institute provides specialized oncology services across multiple settings including primary care, urgent care, infusion, cardiology, neurosciences, orthopedics, women's health, pediatrics, and other medical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
• Deliver compassionate, skilled communication while leading efforts to optimize patient experience
• Support systemic therapy, intravesical therapy, testosterone replacement, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) injections, and management of Foley catheters, suprapubic tubes (SPT), and percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN)
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide patient-centered cancer care

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (visa sponsorship is not available)

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 3, 12-hour day shifts per week
• Holiday rotation required
• Weekend rotation required

Compensation and Benefits

• Base compensation: $35.50 - $53.25 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
