New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Maternity

Atrium Health Cleveland is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for the Maternity service. You will provide comprehensive patient care in our Labor and Delivery Unit and Mother Baby Unit, working alongside physicians, midwives, pediatric hospitalists, and anesthesiologists to deliver safe, therapeutic care using evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making.

Clinical Setting

The Labor and Delivery Unit includes 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite, and 1 PACU bed. The Mother Baby Unit has 19 rooms for couplet care, antepartum, GYN surgery, pediatrics, and 5 Special Care Nursery beds for newborns requiring a higher level of care. Atrium Health Cleveland is a 241-bed hospital in Shelby, North Carolina, serving greater Cleveland County and the surrounding region. The facility is the first Level III trauma center in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making in patient care
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (visa sponsorship is not available)

Schedule

• 3, 12-hour night shifts per week
• Holiday and weekend rotation required
