Job Description

Select Specialty Hospital Grand Rapids is a critical illness recovery hospital located on the 5th floor of Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This full-time nightshift position serves chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery following intensive care. As a New Graduate Registered Nurse, you will work alongside physicians and experienced preceptors to provide compassionate, evidence-based care during patients' most vulnerable moments.

Clinical Setting

This is a post-ICU specialty hospital focused on critical illness recovery. You will care for patients transitioning from intensive care who require ongoing specialized nursing support and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and your preceptor to implement assessment plans, evaluation, and follow-up care for assigned patients
  • Conduct ongoing systematic assessments of patients' and families' physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs
  • Interpret assessment data to develop comprehensive nursing care plans that include problem identification, nursing diagnoses, nursing orders, interventions, and short- and long-term goals
  • Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals
  • Ensure medical records are complete, factual, accurate, and timely

Schedule

  • Full-time nightshift position
  • Hours: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • Must have flexibility to complete orientation program requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
  • Valid State RN License (must be obtained by start date; applicants may apply before licensure)
  • BLS certification required at hire
