Select Specialty Hospital Grand Rapids is a critical illness recovery hospital providing post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. As a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) on the night shift, you will play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable moments of their recovery.
This full-time position is located on the 5th floor of Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a critical illness recovery hospital specializing in post-ICU care for patients with complex medical needs requiring extended inpatient rehabilitation and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and your preceptor to implement assessment plans, evaluation, and follow-up of patient care plans
- Conduct ongoing systematic assessment of patients' and families' physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs
- Interpret assessment data to develop nursing care plans that include problem identification, nursing diagnoses, nursing orders, interventions, short and long-term goals, and discharge planning
- Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals
- Ensure medical records are complete, factual, accurate, and timely
Schedule
- Full-time night shift: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Must have flexibility to complete program requirements
Compensation
- Starting pay: $38.64 per hour
- Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends
- $20,000 sign-on bonus
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Valid state RN license required at start date (applicants may apply before being licensed)
- BLS certification required at hire
- Flexibility to complete program scheduling requirements
