New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department

Join MedStar Harbor Hospital's Emergency Department as a New Graduate Registered Nurse on a full-time night shift. This position offers an excellent opportunity to launch your nursing career in a dynamic 27-bed emergency department that treats approximately 40,000 patients annually. You will care for patients of all ages with diverse medical conditions, from routine to highly complex cases.

Clinical Setting

MedStar Harbor Emergency Department includes 20 main ED beds and 7 fast track beds, serving a diverse patient population. The hospital is conveniently located approximately 1 mile from Interstate 95 with free onsite parking for employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of clinical needs
• Assess evolving patient conditions and identify actual and potential health concerns
• Develop appropriate care plans based on patient assessment
• Deliver interventions directly or coordinate care through collaboration with other nursing team members

Schedule

Full-time night shift position.

Required Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Maryland RN license or Active Compact State RN license
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or American Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior clinical nursing experience
• Emergency Department Tech experience
• Emergency Department Nurse Extern experience

Compensation and Benefits

Hiring range: USD $36.50 - USD $43.77 per hour.
