New Graduate - Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Maryview Medical Center

Maryview Medical Center is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. In this role, you will deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identify and prioritize patient problems and needs, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze assessment data, and create individualized plans of care
• Implement treatments and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with state practice standards and organizational policies
• Serve as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives in the department
• Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery
• Provide health teaching and health promotion activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize office and clinical technologies effectively
• Integrate quality improvement, evidence-based practices, and research into daily practice

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license from your state of practice
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
