Join Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center as a New Graduate Registered Nurse in our 19-bed Cardiac Inpatient Procedural Unit (6AC). This role offers specialized training in cardiac care for patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, and operating room. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you'll develop highly skilled nursing expertise through hands-on experience and continuous growth opportunities.
Clinical Setting
The Cardiac Intermediate unit provides comprehensive care for patients with complex cardiac therapies, including drips, temporary pacemakers, arterial access sites, sheaths, and radial access bands. Carolinas Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC, distinguished for excellent patient care and medical expertise. The hospital serves as the region's only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. It also serves as one of North Carolina's five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
- Communicate effectively and lead efforts to deliver the best patient experience across the continuum of care
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (visa sponsorship is not available)
Schedule
- Full-time position, 36 hours per week
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Holiday and weekend rotation required
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour
- Sign-on bonus available for applicants who have not received a sign-on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months
