Join MetroWest Medical Center's New Graduate RN program in Behavioral Health at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, MA. This position is designed for Spring and Summer 2026 nursing graduates entering their first role as a registered nurse. You will work with adult, geriatric, and adolescent patient populations in a specialized behavioral health setting focused on mental health safety, stability, and empowerment.

In this role, you will see the direct impact of your work on individuals and families facing mental health challenges. You will assist patients in building healthy coping strategies, developing strength, fostering positive thought processes, and improving problem-solving skills. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical nurse practitioners, social workers, mental health counselors, and human rights officers.

Clinical Setting

Leonard Morse Hospital is a 307-bed regional healthcare system and part of MetroWest Medical Center, the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston. The hospital offers specialized training in de-escalation and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training. The behavioral health units serve adult, geriatric, and adolescent populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and competent direct nursing care to assigned patients
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
  • Supervise staff to whom nursing care is appropriately delegated
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and stability
  • Participate in de-escalation and crisis prevention interventions

New Graduate Program

MetroWest Medical Center offers a comprehensive 12-month New Graduate RN program with innovative curriculum designed to create a solid foundation at the start of your nursing career. The program focuses on developing delegation and priority-setting skills, holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication, and establishment of valuable professional relationships. Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited nursing program, or current enrollment in nursing school with a graduation date within the next 12 months
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as an RN as required by state law, regulation, or policy
  • Current CPR certification
  • Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen
