Join Rochester Regional Health as a New Graduate Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department Fellowship Program at Clifton Springs Hospital. This education-oriented fellowship is designed exclusively for December 2026 RN graduates and offers the opportunity to launch your nursing career in one of the busiest emergency departments in New York State outside of New York City. You will work alongside dedicated professionals in a fast-paced environment while receiving structured support for your professional growth and development.
The Emergency Department at Clifton Springs Hospital is a high-volume, dynamic clinical environment where you will gain experience managing acute and emergent patient presentations. This fellowship program is available only to recent nursing graduates and provides mentorship and education tailored to help you determine if emergency nursing is right for your career path.
This is a moderate clinical role requiring continual movement including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. You will perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee or their physician.
