New Graduate Nurse Residency – Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support recent nursing graduates in their transition into professional nursing practice. As an RN Resident, you will provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care while developing clinical competency under structured mentorship and preceptor support.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in collaboration with an interprofessional team
• Perform the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking
• Partner with patients and families, respecting cultural diversity and ensuring patient-centered care
• Coordinate safe care delivery, document accurately, and promote respectful interdisciplinary communication
• Support performance improvement activities, participate in research, and uphold organizational policies and standards
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses and students, modeling professional nursing practice
• Engage in ongoing professional development, competency assessments, and evidence-based practice initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Bachelor's degree)
• Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical systems such as Epic
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Less than one year of RN experience
