The opportunity

Job Description

This is a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support registered nurses who are new graduates with less than 6 months of clinical experience. The program provides structured onboarding, mentorship, and professional development to help you transition successfully into nursing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care following evidence-based standards
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary communication and collaborate with care teams
  • Ensure safe, high-quality clinical practices
  • Participate in orientation phases, specialty and core onboarding, and monthly residency sessions
  • Support performance improvement activities
  • Uphold organizational policies and standards
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified nursing workforce
  • Promote evidence-based practice and research utilization

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Bachelor's degree)
  • Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Less than 1 year of RN experience
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Strong time management and computer skills
  • Proficiency in clinical technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
  • Experience with 3M systems
