This position offers new graduate registered nurses the opportunity to begin their nursing career in a cardiac specialty unit. You will provide direct bedside nursing care to cardiac patients, working within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care planning. The role emphasizes individualized, age-specific patient care based on the nursing process, with responsibilities including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis determination, care plan development, and implementation of nursing and medical orders. You will participate in hourly rounding, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and may assume charge nurse responsibilities during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge planning needs on admission and ongoing
- Determine nursing diagnoses based on patient assessment and data analysis
- Set practical, realistic, and patient population-specific outcome goals with patient and family input
- Individualize patient care plans based on patient needs and procedural complexities
- Implement nursing and medical orders appropriate to current patient status
- Participate in hourly rounding
- Observe safety guidelines and safe work practices
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
- Complete other tasks assigned by the hospital
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school
- Active Arizona RN license
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification required upon orientation completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Cardiac specialty certification

Compensation
- Sign-on bonus up to $2,500 based on eligibility
