Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology - Per Diem

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. This per diem position offers the opportunity to provide direct clinical care to newborns and their families in a specialized neonatal setting that delivers approximately 6,000 babies annually and serves patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region.

Clinical Setting

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a 253-bed not-for-profit medical center and medical teaching and research facility. The neonatology department provides intensive care for infants, with specialty services including high-risk perinatal care and critical care air transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, life-changing care to newborns and their families
• Deliver direct care and treatment for neonatal patients, including evaluations, treatments, and specialized procedures
• Act as a clinical resource for staff and physicians
• Facilitate family health education, referrals, and consultations with allied health professionals

Required Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse License
• Active Hawaii Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (APRN)
• Completion of a formal Neonatology Nurse Practitioner Program
• Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in neonatology specialty
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR certification

Compensation

• Pay range: $80,945 - $112,682 USD per year
