Mercyhealth seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the Pediatrics/Newborn Care team in Janesville, Wisconsin. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to healthy newborns in the Newborn Nursery while collaborating closely with pediatricians, obstetric providers, nursing staff, and hospital leadership in a family-centered environment.
Clinical Setting
You will practice primarily in the Newborn Nursery within a regional health system that operates 7 hospitals and over 100 primary and specialty care centers across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The health system offers vast multi-specialty referral sources and utilizes EPIC EMR.
Schedule
- Rotating day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
- National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Active state APRN license
- Active state DEA license, or eligible to obtain
- Active BLS and NRP certifications, or eligible to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a nursery, NICU, or neonatal practice
- Experience attending deliveries and performing neonatal stabilization
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
