Mon-Fri 7a-4p School Nurse 1:1- Tampa:Peds Case

NorthBay Home Health is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to provide one-on-one nursing care for an adolescent male student with a tracheostomy (non-ventilated) and feeding tube. This full-time position combines school-based and home support, offering the opportunity to deliver individualized care while building meaningful connections with your patient and their family.

Clinical Setting

You will support a wheelchair-using adolescent male in both home and school environments. The patient requires assistance with transfers and has a tracheostomy and feeding tube but is not ventilator-dependent.

Responsibilities

• Provide morning care and accompany the patient to and from the school bus
• Deliver continuous, individualized nursing support during the school day
• Administer tube feedings and prescribed medications
• Monitor health status and respond promptly to patient needs
• Communicate with family, school staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate daily documentation

Schedule

Full-time position: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (Florida or Compact/Multi-State)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Current TB test
• Must be physically fit to provide care for this patient

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tracheostomy care
• Experience with tube feeding
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Male nurses are encouraged to apply

Compensation

• LPN: $23 to $32 per hour
• RN: $32 to $35 per hour
