Join Sanford Health's Urology Clinic in Bismarck as a Patient Care Technician supporting a team of urology specialists. This role provides basic patient care services in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic setting, assisting with surgical and non-surgical treatment options in a sensitive, patient-centered environment.
Clinical Setting
The Bismarck Clinic is part of Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States. The Urology Clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend or holiday requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient care services including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements
- Conduct visual acuity and color vision screening
- Perform drug screens and point-of-care urinalysis
- Complete reception and clerical tasks
- Prepare patient treatment areas and medical equipment for use
- Clean and maintain patient care areas and treatment rooms
- Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
- Monitor stock levels of medical inventory and restock or reorder as needed
- Work patient registries and identify opportunities to improve patient care
- Provide age-appropriate patient care and demonstrate cultural diversity awareness
- Work effectively amidst multiple distractions while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
- If working in North Dakota and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months from the date of initial employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of six months' experience
- Experience in a clinic setting
- Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends or holidays
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $15.00 to $25.50 per hour
