Join the Ear, Nose & Throat clinic at Bismarck Clinic as a Patient Care Technician in a full-time, fast-paced ambulatory setting. This role supports clinical operations while working with patients of all ages in a team-oriented environment. You will perform basic patient care services and multi-skilled clinical support under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, and blood pressure
- Perform visual acuity and color vision screening
- Conduct drug screens and point-of-care urinalysis
- Prepare patient treatment areas for use
- Prepare and clean medical equipment
- Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
- Clean and maintain patient care areas and treatment rooms
- Monitor stock levels of medical inventory and restock or reorder as needed
- Perform reception and clerical tasks
- Work patient registries and identify opportunities to improve patient care
- Provide age-appropriate patient care and demonstrate cultural diversity awareness
Clinical Setting
This position is located in an ambulatory specialty clinic serving patients from adolescence through geriatrics. The clinic operates in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work amidst multiple distractions while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Day shift, full-time (40 hours per week)
- No weekends or evenings
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers certification required or within the first 60 days of employment
- If working in North Dakota and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months from the date of initial employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of six months' experience
- Experience in a clinic setting
- Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $15.00 to $25.50 per hour
- $5,000 sign-on bonus
