Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) - Enterprise Clinic Float (84032)

Lake Region Healthcare is seeking Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or Registered Nurses (RN) to join the Enterprise Float pool. This is a clinic-based float position that provides clinical support across multiple clinic locations. You will work in all clinic areas to cover clinical support staff call-ins and PTO, and provide additional support to providers as needed. The position requires floating to departments within the Fergus Falls Clinic and other clinic locations including Barnesville, Morris, Ashby, and Battle Lake.

Clinical Setting

You will work in outpatient clinic settings across a multi-location healthcare system, supporting providers and patients in all stages of life.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary based on licensure level:

Medical Assistant:

• Provide clinical and administrative support to licensed providers and nurses
• Assist with patient preparation and clinical procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Coordinate care and support overall clinic operations
• Communicate professionally with patients, coworkers, and providers
• Demonstrate knowledge of available resources within Lake Region Healthcare and the broader community

Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Provide patient-centered care as delegated by a provider or registered nurse
• Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and providers
• Practice in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and organizational policies
• Apply sound clinical judgment and collaborate effectively to ensure safe, comprehensive, and compassionate patient care

Registered Nurse:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, delegation, and evaluation
• Perform nursing duties accurately and efficiently
• Assist providers and carry out orders while maintaining thorough and timely documentation
• Delegate and supervise nursing care consistent with professional standards and the Minnesota Board of Nursing scope of practice
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, visitors, colleagues, providers, and community partners
• Practice in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and organizational policies

Schedule

64 hours biweekly, day shifts, Monday to Friday. Required ability to float to all departments within the Fergus Falls, Barnesville, Morris, Ashby, and Battle Lake clinics.

Required Qualifications

All Positions:

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening
• Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months

Medical Assistant:

• Verified completion of an MA diploma/program with proof of current certification as an MA if certification received from the diploma/program
• Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level)
• Ability to perform delegated clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a licensed provider or nurse in accordance with established protocols, competencies, and organizational policies

Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
• Current Minnesota LPN licensure
• Current CPR certificate
• Ability to perform within the nursing scope of practice
• Performs nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or provider, consistent with the LPN scope of practice defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

Registered Nurse:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Minnesota RN licensure
• Current CPR certificate
• Demonstrated ability to perform within the registered nurse scope of practice
• Delegates and supervises nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges:

• Medical Assistants: $23.33-$29.86
• Licensed Practical Nurses: $24.51-$32.95
• Registered Nurses: $32.68-$48.83 (BSN hires are eligible for an extra $1/hour)

Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
