LPN Pediatric School Nurse – 3 days a week

Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for a pediatric patient during the school day in Andover, Illinois. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with daytime hours, no nights or weekends, and the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with a single patient and family.

This case involves G-tube care only, with no tracheostomy or ventilator management required. The role is an excellent fit for nurses seeking private duty nursing without high-acuity respiratory care, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Clinical Setting

You will attend school with your patient and provide skilled nursing care throughout the school day, helping them safely participate in their educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed
• Monitor your patient's condition throughout the school day
• Communicate with the patient's family, school staff, and Castor clinical team
• Complete required nursing documentation
• Provide one-on-one nursing care with a focus on patient safety and comfort

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No nights or weekends
• Consistent school-day schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois LPN license
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Dependable and compassionate approach to patient care
• Interest in working one-on-one with a pediatric patient

Training and Support
