LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) PRN Nightshift

Sunrise Manor & Convalescent Center in Amelia, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for nightshift PRN work. In this role, you will provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, working collaboratively with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with residents' plans of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and accurate documentation
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by Nursing Assistants and STNAs
• Monitor residents' conditions, promptly recognize changes, and notify the physician and appropriate team members
• Promote a positive, respectful, and resident-focused environment

Clinical Setting

Long-term care and skilled nursing facility

Required Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Ohio LPN license
• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program or college/university
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to long-term care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sound clinical judgment
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, residents, and families
• Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills
