LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN position at West Union GSS. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles relevant to the clinical setting
• Provide care within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge
• Apply age and population-specific standards related to physical and psychosocial needs of residents as per their care plan
• Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of resident status
• Provide appropriate care based on assessment findings
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license
• If the position requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota: graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum, or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in practical nursing
